Mexico City, November 29. The Sixth Urtext Festival 2025 kicks off in Mexico City, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Urtext Digital Classics record label. The festival will be held free of charge and will focus on Mexican Baroque music. The event will take place over two weekends: November 29-30 and December 5-7. It will feature over 25 events with more than 200 artists. The main venues include the Teatro de la Ciudad Esperanza Iris, the Museo Kaluz, and other historic buildings in the city center. The program is diverse, featuring concerts of classical and contemporary music, jazz, blues, as well as lectures and exhibitions. On November 30 at 18:00, the Teatro de la Ciudad Esperanza Iris will host a free concert celebrating the 80th birthday of renowned Mexican musician Guillermo BriseƱo, who will mark 66 years of his artistic career. His band, the vocal group Las Sirenas, and special guests will perform. On December 7 at 18:00, the festival will conclude at the Museo Kaluz with a concert of Baroque music by the Orquesta Barroca Urtext.
